What does the Bible say about peace?
Biblical peace is more than calm feelings: wholeness under God’s reign, made by the cross, and given as a guard for anxious hearts.

Shalom and the peacemaker
Old Testament shalom is welfare, justice, and right relationship — not only inner quiet (Numbers 6:24–26; Psalm 85:8–10). Isaiah promises a Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus blesses peacemakers (Matthew 5:9) and bequeaths his peace, “not as the world gives” (John 14:27).

Peace with God, and the guard of the heart
Romans 5:1: justified by faith, we have peace with God. Ephesians 2:14: he himself is our peace, making one new humanity. Philippians 4:6–7: the peace of God guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as the alternative to anxious grasping. Ask Bible can set these texts beside one another.
